We welcome audience above the age of 5 years. Children under the age of 5, whose parents cannot ensure that they can watch quietly, are not recommended to attend.

Composition for performance:
- The adjudicator reserves the right to terminate the performance.
- Participants to play one piece of their choice. Please note the time limitations.
- Participants must bring a copy of their music for the adjudicators.
Dress Code: A formal dress code for concert performance is compulsory for state and national competition. A dark colored suit or tuxedo for men and formal long gown for women are preferred.
Prizes:
Each section will have top 3 places, and special prizes in the form of “Outstanding Performance”, “Most Potential” and “Audience Favorite”.
the “Audience Favorite” is a prize to encourage our participants, it’s the only based on the voting results.
TOP 3 and SPECIAL PRIZES of each group in state competition and Australia Piano World INVITED PARTICIPANTS will have PRIORITY ACCESS to the national competition. (Fees applied for National competition.)

Adjudicators:
NSW – Stephanie McCallum

Stephanie McCallum is one of Australia’s most distinguished pianists and educators. She’s hailed by London HiFi News and Record Review as “a formidable and insightful pianist”.
NSW – Patrick Wong

Patrick Wong is a music educator and pianist with extensive experience in performance and teaching. He is AMEB NSW Senior Examiner, and a music teacher at James Ruse Agricultural High School.
VIC – Jerry Wong

Jerry Wong is the Head of Keyboard at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne. Prior to his appointment in Australia, he held faculty positions in the United States and was frequently invited to give masterclasses worldwide

Optional Winners’ Concert
As a special highlight of this competition, a celebratory concert will be held at A special concert will be held at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, at 4:00 PM on November 22, 2025.
Not only will official winners be invited to perform — select participants may also be chosen to join this unique event.
Notes:
- Participant must abide by the rules and regulation of event, as well as any arrangement made by the organiser.
- Australia Piano World customers have the priority for participation.
- The organiser reserved the rights to postpone or cancel the event. Your fee will be refunded if the concert is cancelled.
- The organiser reserved the rights to reject the registration and refuse entry for unwelcomed guests.
- There is no refund of any portion of the entry fee If you withdraw for any personal reason (including, but not limited to, medical reasons).
- The organiser shall not be liable for any injury sustained by the participant during the event.
- The organiser reserved the rights to use the images and recordings. No fees will be paid to participant for the use of such image and recording.
- All winners must attend the prize giving ceremony and accept the prize in person. Prizes will not be given to winner who is absent from the ceremony.
- The explanation given by Australia Piano World with regards to results, rules and regulation of the event is deemed final and cannot be disputed. Australia Piano World reserves the rights to amend the rules and regulations.
