The freedom to play piano in any way you choose

AiR Sound Source airLogo

Casio’s new AiR (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) sound source provides unmatched realism and detail. This sound engine provides seamless dynamics for a remarkably expressive and powerful performance. The capacity of the installed memory has been largely expanded to allow longer samples and enhanced waveform data quality, while the Lossless Audio Compression technology allows reproduction of the original piano sample without deterioration of the original sound quality. Fine nuances such as the length of note reverberation and tonal colour are controlled by the player’s touch – just as on an acoustic piano.

New Hall Simulator

Ever wondered what it would be like to play on stage at the Sydney Opera House? Or to a packed house at Wembley Arena? With the press of a button the new Hall Simulator function re-creates the sound matched to the acoustics of 10 different concert halls, stadiums and cathedrals from around the world. PX-A100RD hallsim

More Piano Variations

The PX-A100RD builds on Casio’s award winning piano sound to give you even more variations of different acoustic piano tones. There are 10 different variations such as LA Piano, Jazz Piano, Rock Piano and more. No matter what your musical style, there is now an acoustic piano tone to suit any genre.

String Resonance

The new AiR sound source reproduces the resonance created from using the damper pedal naturally through the use of a stereo resonance simulator for all 88 keys. The attention to detail goes so far as to simulate the resonance created by the lifting of the dampers themselves when the pedal is pressed. The resonance system allows players to perform with an unprecedented amount of expressive detail.

Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II

The new Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II responds to subtle variations in the time between detection of a keystroke and sound production, depending on the speed of the keystroke. The system uses three sensors that detect the keystroke sequentially, which also enables a sound to be produced repeatedly, even when the key has not fully returned to its resting position. The action relies solely on the weight of the hammer, which become progressively heavier towards the lower end and progressively lighter towards the higher end of the keyboard, simulating the characteristic of the action on a grand piano.

Simulated Ebony and Ivory Feel Keys

The simulated ebony and ivory keys offer the luxurious feel and texture of a grand piano keyboard. The texture allows maximum grip and avoids slipping of the fingers due to moisture.

Designed With Portability In Mind

The PX-A100 can be used as a portable piano, or combined with the CS67BK slim design stand and SP33 pedal board to create and attractive furniture piece to suit any home interior design. The piano is easily detached from the stand for maximum portability.
